Love People

What does Love People mean?

Demand Disruption believes that all people are created equal and deserve freedom and respect. This is at the core of who we are and why we fight the demand for sex trafficking with our unique holistic approach. We believe that, in order to end sex trafficking, we need to lead with love.

One survey found that 53% of boys and 39% of girls believe porn is a realistic depiction of sex.

People don’t just wake up one day and decide to buy a person for sex. No, this decision is the result of a broken thought process, one that changes the heart and mind to believe that people are products to be purchased.

Through data, research, and firsthand experience through our relationships with buyers and ex-buyers, at Demand Disruption we understand that the single biggest catalyst in this contemplation stage is porn use. While we know that not everyone who uses pornography is going to purchase sex someday, nearly everyone who has purchased sex is a frequent porn user.

We cannot pretend that porn use and the demand for sex trafficking are not connected. This means that we need to lead with love in our relationships and support our friends, family, and loved ones who may be struggling with an unwanted porn habit or sexual compulsion. Shame has no place here.
"I've struggled with porn since I was 10. Now, I can't even believe that was me, the things I used to think about. My porn use 100% lead to my decision to buy sex."

The Church

Body Project

There is a sleeping giant in the fight against human trafficking: The Church. Demand Disruption developed The Church Body Project to help courageous churches strategically navigate this difficult conversation. We then provide them the programs to Love each other, Disrupt demand and Defend their families and communities from a hyper-sexualized culture.
The most important thing that I am gaining back is my spiritual life. I was almost completely detached from God in my struggle and shame.
